Ged who originally hails from Dublin has been performing music for over 25 years and brings his wealth of experience to each and every venue at which he performs. Ged spent many years touring the UK, Europe the USA and his native Ireland playing every musical style from Country to Reggae, Rock and Soul Classics to Traditional and contemporary Irish ballads. Ged is currently undertaking a 70 date tour with the critically accliamed 'Essence of Ireland' theatre show as lead singer. The show has been described by The Irish World as 'Entirely Unique and Highly Recommended' and The Southampton Echo said 'If you liked Riverdance, Lord of The Dance and Spirit of The Dance, you will love this show...because it is even better' A further 60 date tour is scheduled for the autumn and christmas 2010. Spending 12 years with Manchester 's Borderline Showband gave Ged the opportunity to play all of the leading venues in the north of England including The Palace Theatre, Free Trade Hall and GMEX Centre together with recording two successful albums with the band. Ged then formed and spent several years in The Flight of Earls specialising in traditional and contemporary Irish music touring extensively throughout the UK as the Guinness house band and undertaking several summer seasons in Blackpool and Tenerife . Ged has now been solo for five years and is one of the most successful and sought after solo performers in the North West . Ged has appeared on both radio and TV and is a regular performer on BBC radio and independent radio stations. Ged's extensive repertoire sets him apart from his contemporaries and his 25 years of experience is evident in the depth of that repertoire.
